Raphael Sabu

Raphael Sabu is an artist working in pen and ink. Coming from a background in traditional painting, he grew tired of depicting reality and found a freer way of making art through doodling. His practice is driven by the enjoyment of drawing without a fixed destination, allowing each mark to suggest the next. Moving away from representation has given Raphael room to follow his curiosity and let the work develop on its own terms.
